Using a Dry Suit

A dry suit is defined as a piece of apparel that provides thermal insulation to the wearer while immersed in water. This allows for better insulation in colder temperatures. Written below is a guide on how to use one properly for diving.

When you have the suit on, make sure that all the equipment is in place and functioning properly. Once done, you can take the plunge feet first. Remember to keep the outlet valve closed to a small amount of air. This will guarantee positive buoyancy for surface floating.

After you have checked the right resources for proper weighting, focus on achieving a figure for the latter that is slightly heavier than neutral. When you are through with this step, the outlet valve and raise it to the highest point to allow air to escape.

Finally, after you have descended a couple of yards, add a bit more air to relieve the suit’s squeeze. Begin swimming at this depth and gain neutral buoyancy so you can swim relaxed.
